Ruth’s is friendly and approachable but likes to get things done. She aims to ensure that everything we do is helpful and understandable to the client. She believes that people make businesses and with several decades (we won’t say how many!) of working with organisations as a Business Psychologist (BSc MSc MBPsS) she offers an insight into the hard metrics and soft skills that interweave to make things work at work. Her experience encompasses public, private and third sectors, a vast range of industries and everything from large known organisations such as Toyota and The Highways Agency to smaller family run businesses.
Ruth began running small businesses with her Dad, at the age of 14. In the 80s, when sustainable and organic products were less readily available and online retail didn’t exist, this family business brought such things to people’s doors. Her interest in sustainable and ethical business continues today. Her most recent venture ‘Department store for the mind’, now sold on to a fellow mumtrepeneur, provided her with the opportunity to not only run a successful online business but to also co-create and publish several books under the brand.
Ruth is a maths nerd and secretly deeply satisfied by seeing all the right numbers in the right boxes. She has always loved both the art of understanding the human condition and the science of numbers and sees business as the perfect home for the marriage of the two.
